The Tri-state ARPAS chapter changed the name of the Colorado Nutrition Roundtable to the High Plains Nutrition and Management Roundtable. It was decided by the officers and advisory committee to change the name in order to host the event in each of the states represented. The High Plains Nutrition Roundtable (HPNR) will rotate annually among the 3 states to increase participation and ARPAS membership. The 2016 meeting will be held in Colorado. To further increase ARPAS membership, the Chapter offered to pay for the exam during the HPNR meeting and also the first year of membership for those interested in joining.

Our annual Roundtable consists of presenters that submit proceedings papers, which are bound and available for attendees. Attendees can earn ARPAS CEU’s for attending the event. Each year the Tri-State ARPAS Chapter hosts a graduate student poster competition in conjunction with the Roundtable. The graduate students are required to submit an abstract prior to the meeting, and the posters are evaluated by academic faculty and industry representatives. During the evaluation, the poster presenter is questioned about the research and the poster is evaluated by the panel. Monetary prizes are presented to the top 3 poster winners. A monetary honorarium is also provided to all students that participate in the competition.
